Double Barrel Delight Barrel-Aged Blended Sour Red

  • For this beer we took a pale wheat beer aged on raspberries in a mixed culture wine barrel and blended it with a whiskey barrel- aged sour brown ale. The blend was then refermented on blackberry puree. Finally, we added some Hilco Amber to soften the acidity. The result is a robust and jammy Sour Red Ale, reminiscent of a Flanders Red and an Oud Bruin.
